About a week ago, Davido made the news after he promised to help his namesake, David Adeleke with his financial needs for a media workshop at Yale.
David Adeleke reached out to other twitter users to assist him with his financial requirements after he setup a GoFundMe page to try to reach his goal of $3,500.
The singer tweeted that they got the same first name and surname, hence he has no choice but to help the writer.
Davido told him to send his details via DM so that he can offer his assistance.
Yesterday, David thankfully reached his goal and an online user slammed Davido for not helping as promised.

User, Osarumen Osamuyi called out Davido for promising to help the poor
boy only to leave him high and dry.
Davido in his defense tweeted, ‘Yea I sent a wire yday from my American account which will reach him on Monday it’s an international transfer so you wouldn’t understand’.
