No fewer than 188 students bag first class degree at the 2017/2018 convocation at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, 1,426 students graduated this academic session.


Out of the 1,426 students, 188 graduated with first class honours degree, 568 with second class upper honours, 322 with second class lower, 47 with third class and 301 post graduate students.
The vice chancellor of Covenant university, Prof. Aaron Atayero, speaking at the ceremony said the university has trained a set of “expert thinkers and world changers” that would contribute their quota towards the nation’s development.
“Covenant University has continued to be at the cutting edge of innovation and research in proffering solutions to the nation’s challenges,’’ he said.
The University Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo, who was also present at the event said the nation’s problems can only be solved by individuals and leaders.
Oyedepo said;
“Education would enhance such initiative in solving the nation’s challenges because it cannot give what we do not have in solving our problems,’’
