The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and
Control(NAFDAC), Abia office, has arrested four men for allegedly
relabelling beverages with new expiry dates.
The Abia Coordinator of NAFDAC, Mr Olisa Okeke, on Tuesday in Abuja, said NAFDAC arrested for men for relabelling beverages with new expiry dates.
He added that NAFDAC officials have moved to Lagos for further investigation.
The coordinator, however added that operators should desist from attacking the agency officials on lawful duty.
He said;

Mr Okeke said that the suspects were caught revalidating drinks in cans and dairy products at the time of the arrests.
The coordinator, however added that operators should desist from attacking the agency officials on lawful duty.
He said;
“About four weeks ago, some dealers in the market assaulted the agency staff during a raid of the market.
“They injured one of the NAFDAC officials in the shoulder and the other in the head with stones and also damaged one of the agency’s vehicle during the operation,”
