Bobby V is currently under investigation after an unnamed woman accused him of rape.

According to TMZ, the alleged victim filed a police report naming Bobby in Cobb County, Ga. She claims that the alleged rape took place on Sunday (March 18). Law enforcement officials say that this is an open investigation. Details surrounding the matter remain unclear. Bobby reportedly lives in the area.

Bobby’s representative claims this is a “weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives.” The rep also calls the alleged victim’s account of the incident a “false report.”

“Bobby takes any allegation against women very seriously,” the rep added. “However, false allegations damage true victims of sexual abuse.”

Controversy surrounded Bobby V last year, too. A transgender prostitute claimed he skipped out on paying her and a video of their alleged encounter surfaced online. Afterward, Bobby called it an extortion plot, as per TMZ.

A rep responded to those allegations. “Misrepresentation and deception were maliciously used to target Valentino, during the encounter, Valentino was victimized and threatened by acts of extortion which continued after his departure was captured on video.”

Bobby V released his debut album, Bobby Valentino, in 2005. His most recent album, Electrik, arrived earlier this month.
