Around 100 firefighters are battling a huge blaze at a shopping centre in East London. Dramatic images show flames ripping through The Mall in Walthamstow, with eyewitnesses saying 999 crews are struggling to get it under control.
Fifteen fire engines have been sent to the scene, and the Metropolitan Police have described it as a "major incident".
An eyewitness told Mirror Online that it isn't clear if there's anyone inside the building. He said: "It's absolutely terrible to see. All the roof of the Mall is on fire, it's going to get bigger and bigger."
The blaze broke out at around 7.40am.
In a statement London Fire Brigade said: "Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters have been called to a fire at The Mall shopping centre on Selborne Walk in Walthamstow.
"The Brigade was called at 0740. Fire crews from Walthamstow, Leyton, Tottenham, Leytonstone, Homerton and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
"The cause of the fire is not known at this stage."
