There was confusion at the Ibadan, Soka residence of Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, on Monday following alleged attack on his residence by gunmen.

Some residents of the area claimed that there were no gunshots while some said they were awoken by alarms raised by the spokesman of the activist, Olayomi Koiki.

Recall it was reported on Monday that ''military men'' invaded the house of Igboho around 2am but when Daily Trust visited, it was observed that there was no sign of gunshots on the walls as reported.

When Daily Trust correspondent visited the residence, it was observed that normalcy had returned to the area as many of Igboho’s men were seen gisting in different parts of the quiet street.

Also, all adjoining roads to the residences were quiet with a handful of individuals going about their normal activities.

A resident of the area told Daily Trust that people staying in the adjoining street said the gunmen were in black hoods and their mission was unsure.

When this correspondent moved around the vicinity, spent cartridges were seen inside the front drainage of Igboho’s residence.

It was also observed that broken bottles were seen on different parts of the road.

A source close to the residence said that since the attack on the old residence of the activist, certain individuals have been noticed to be patrolling the area with an unknown mission.
