The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced 49 more cases of COVID-19 in Lagos, Enugu, Oyo and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

The development brings the total number of active cases being managed across the country to 7,085.

The public health agency made this known on Monday night via posts on its verified social media handles.

According to NCDC, the country has so far recorded 165,468 cases since the outbreak of the virus in February 2020.

No fewer than 156,318 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while about 2,065 patients have lost their lives due to implications from the dreaded virus.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government on Monday reinstated the previous nationwide COVID-19 curfew as a means of curtailing further spread of the virus.
